Where College Park is

TRREB counts College Park as one of its Oakville communities, but its quarterly report doesn’t list boundary streets. Local real estate guides (not official sources) agree on Sixteen Mile Creek to the west, the QEW to the south, Upper Middle Road to the north and Trafalgar Road to the east. Wikipedia’s summary of the Town’s planning communities puts the eastern edge just east of Trafalgar Road instead, and a 2005 Town of Oakville community profile (an archived copy) used the east branch of Morrison Creek.

Wikipedia notes that the community surrounds Sheridan College. Sheridan, founded in 1967, has its Trafalgar Campus at 1430 Trafalgar Rd, home to its Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design and to some of its science and technology and health and community studies programs. The Town’s 2005 profile put the campus at 41 hectares on the west side of Trafalgar Road, south of Upper Middle Road, and placed the Town’s municipal offices inside College Park too; Oakville Town Hall is at 1225 Trafalgar Rd.

Two local real estate guides (not official sources) differ on when building began: one says the 1950s, the other the mid-1960s. HoodQ, a third-party data service, describes single detached homes from the 1960s and 1970s alongside apartment and condo high-rises, townhomes and duplexes. The Town’s 2005 profile says the older residential areas are mostly detached homes on moderately large lots, with high-rise apartments, condominiums and townhouses mostly along the Trafalgar Road corridor.

Homes and recent sales

Detached houses made up about half of resale. In TRREB’s report for April to June 2026, 17 of College Park’s 33 sales were detached, along with 10 condo townhouses, 3 semis, 2 attached or row townhouses and 1 condo apartment. Detached homes also made up 61 of the quarter’s 85 new listings.

Sales relative to new listings differed by type: TRREB’s sales-to-new-listings ratio was 83% for condo townhouses, 50% for semis and 28% for detached houses. Condo townhouses had a median of about $698K, semis about $855K and detached houses about $1,159K, so compare a home with recent sales of the same type. With 33 sales in the quarter, treat these figures as a rough guide.

Zoning changed in 2026. On June 15, Council adopted By-law 2026-088, which updates the low-density residential zones (RL1 to RL11) south of Dundas Street under the South Oakville zoning by-law (2014-014). If a purchase depends on adding on or rebuilding, confirm the current rules with the Town before you firm up.

Schools

School assignment goes by street address. The HDSB is redrawing boundaries in parts of Oakville, and the HCDSB says its boundaries can change from year to year. Before you rely on any school below, check the exact address with the HDSB’s Find Local School tool and the HCDSB’s Find Your School tool.

Four HDSB schools have College Park addresses. White Oaks Secondary School (1330 Montclair Dr) teaches on two campuses, North and South, and offers French Immersion, English as a Second Language, the full International Baccalaureate program, Specialist High Skills Majors and the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program. Montclair Public School (1285 Montclair Dr) runs Kindergarten to Grade 8. Sunningdale Public School (1434 Oxford Ave) and Munn’s Public School (1511 Sixth Line) are, like Montclair, in the White Oaks family of schools.

Sunningdale is also taking new registrations from outside the area. Since February 1, 2026, the HDSB has directed new registrations from the Forest Trail PS boundary north of Dundas Street, between Neyagawa Boulevard and Sixth Line, to Sunningdale, including new Grade 2 to 8 French Immersion registrations for 2026–27. The board says the redirection ends once a boundary review for north-west Oakville relieves Forest Trail, or once enrolment there drops below a level its staff set.

On the Catholic side, St. Michael Catholic Elementary School is at 165 Sewell Dr, and its 2026–27 boundary map covers the land between the QEW and Upper Middle Road from Sixteen Mile Creek to just east of Trafalgar Road. It is in the Holy Trinity family of schools, and the 2026–27 map for Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School (2420 Sixth Line) also takes in College Park.

HDSB secondary boundaries are changing too, and White Oaks is directly involved: the board’s review notes that English and French Immersion students from north of Dundas Street currently go to White Oaks. In May 2026, trustees approved boundaries for the new Oakville NE #1 High School, which the board anticipates will open in September 2027, and the same decision adjusts the English and French Immersion programs at Garth Webb, T. A. Blakelock and White Oaks secondary schools. It is being phased in over three-plus years.

Parks, trails and recreation

White Oaks Pool (1330 Montclair Dr), a Town indoor pool next to White Oaks Secondary School on the south side of McCraney Street, has a 25-metre pool kept at 84°F, a one-metre diving board and an on-deck viewing area. The White Oaks branch of the Oakville Public Library is at 1070 McCraney St E.

The Town’s Nipigon Trail runs south along Sixth Line from Memorial Park to Upper Middle Road East, and south of Upper Middle the McCraney Valley Trail continues behind Sheridan College into Oakville Park on McCraney Street East. The Town’s Morrison Valley Trail North reaches Upper Middle Road just east of Trafalgar Road, and the Morrison Valley Trail South runs from Upper Middle Road to Iroquois Shore Road. The Town’s 2005 profile notes public parkland and connecting trails along both Sixteen Mile Creek and Morrison Creek.

At Ridgeview Park (156 Sewell Dr), a 0.91-hectare neighbourhood park, the Town has replaced the playground and added a splash pad, and both have reopened to the public. Sunningdale Park (1470 Pembroke Dr), 1.42 hectares, is up for renewal: the Town says several aging amenities there have been identified for replacement over the next one to two years. Its May 2026 questionnaire drew 141 responses, which named the playground, the open lawn and the unrefrigerated ice rink as the top reasons to visit, and the Town says it will invite feedback on design options when they are available later in 2026.

The Oakville Golf Club (1154 Sixth Line) is a private, member-owned nine-hole club established in 1921. For shopping, Oakville Place is at 240 Leighland Ave, by Trafalgar Road and the QEW; the Town’s 2005 profile placed it outside College Park, while two local real estate guides (not official sources) count it in. A local real estate agent’s guide (not an official source) also points to the shops along Trafalgar Road.

Getting around

Oakville Transit Route 1 Trafalgar runs north from Oakville GO along Trafalgar Road, with timed stops at Sheridan College and at Trafalgar and Upper Middle, to the Uptown Core and the Trafalgar/407 GO carpool lot. Route 6 Upper Middle, between Bronte GO and Laird and Ridgeway, also stops at Sheridan College. Route 19 River Oaks runs between Oakville GO and the Uptown Core Terminal by way of McCraney and Montclair, and Route 13 Westoak Trails leaves Oakville GO for Bronte GO by way of Oakville Place and Upper Middle and Oxford. On school days, Routes 19 and 71 run school specials to and from White Oaks Secondary School.

Oakville GO Station (214 Cross Ave) is on GO’s Lakeshore West line and shares its platforms with VIA Rail’s Oakville station (200 Cross Ave).
