Where Joshua Creek is
TRREB reports Joshua Creek as one of its Oakville communities. A real estate team’s neighbourhood guide (not an official source) places it between Upper Middle Road East and Dundas Street East, from Eighth Line east to Ninth Line.
In the Town’s planning communities, as summarized on Wikipedia, this part of town falls in Iroquois Ridge North, the land between Upper Middle Road and Dundas Street in north-east Oakville. TRREB’s own cover map for the quarter still uses that older name.
Two local real estate guides (not official sources) differ on when building began: one says development started in the late 1990s and 2000s, the other that it began in 1991 and continued to 2010.
Homes and recent sales
Detached houses lead. In TRREB’s report for April to June 2026, 22 of Joshua Creek’s 33 sales were detached, along with 5 attached or row townhouses, 3 condo townhouses, 2 condo apartments and 1 other. The detached median, about $2,076K, was higher than the detached average of about $1,952K.
With 33 sales in the quarter, treat the averages as a rough guide, and because TRREB’s cover map still shows the older district name here, treat the boundary behind its figures as approximate.

Schools
School assignment goes by street address, and both boards are redrawing boundaries in parts of Oakville. Before you rely on any school below, check the exact address with the HDSB’s Find Local School tool and the HCDSB’s Find Your School tool.
Joshua Creek Public School is at 1450 Arrowhead Rd. Iroquois Ridge High School (1123 Glenashton Dr) is in the west part of the area as the guide draws it; it describes itself as a school of nearly 1,600 students offering Advanced Placement and Specialist High Skills Major programs.
The HDSB has a boundary review open here. In June 2026, trustees started a review to move a pocket at the south-west corner of Dundas Street East and Prince Michael Drive out of the Falgarwood PS boundary and into Joshua Creek PS, citing falling enrolment projections at Joshua Creek. The board says trustees will consider the recommendation at their November 3, 2026 meeting and that any change could take effect as early as September 2027.
On the Catholic side, St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Elementary School is at 1359 Bayshire Dr. It is in the Holy Trinity family of schools, and the 2026–27 boundary map for Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School (2420 Sixth Line) covers the land between Upper Middle Road East and Dundas Street East, including this area.
HDSB secondary boundaries are changing too. In May 2026, trustees approved boundaries for the new Oakville NE #1 High School, which the board anticipates will open in September 2027, and the same decision adjusts the English and French Immersion programs at Garth Webb, T. A. Blakelock and White Oaks secondary schools. It is being phased in over three-plus years.
Trails, parks and the community centre
Iroquois Ridge Community Centre (1051 Glenashton Dr) has a 25-metre competitive pool, a separate leisure pool with a water slide, a fitness centre, a gym, an older adults centre and the Iroquois Ridge branch of the Oakville Public Library. The Town began renovating the building in January 2025, so check what is open before you go. Glenashton Park, at the same address, has a leash-free dog park, a skateboard park, pickleball and tennis courts and the town’s only bocce court.
The Town’s Joshua Creek Trail North follows the creek from Dundas Street, just west of Ninth Line, down to Parkway Park near the Crosstown Trail. The Crosstown Trail runs east and west across town along the TransCanada/Enbridge pipeline, and its eastern stretch reaches Ninth Line and the Joshua Creek Trail North.
A real estate team’s guide (not an official source) lists Nena Woods, Bayshire Woods, Craigleith, Glenashton and North Ridge Trail parks among the area’s green spaces, and points east to Winston Park for big-box shopping.
Getting around
Oakville Transit Route 20 Northridge runs between Oakville GO and the Uptown Core, with timed stops at Eighth Line and Grand, Northridge and Glenashton, and Northridge and Eighth Line. Route 5 runs along Dundas Street with stops at Eighth Line and at Ninth Line, and Route 6 runs along Upper Middle Road, with a stop at Joshua’s Creek.
Oakville GO Station (214 Cross Ave) is on GO’s Lakeshore West line, with free parking and VIA Rail service.
