Scott, Milton: Neighbourhood Guide

Scott is one of the communities TRREB uses to report Milton’s MLS® sales. TRREB’s community map shows it next to Bronte Meadows and Harrison, but the map has no street layer, so it can’t settle which community a particular address is in. A local real estate team’s neighbourhood guide (not an official source) draws Scott between Derry Road and Steeles Avenue, from Tremaine Road east to the CN rail line. Treat that boundary as approximate.

Its streets were planned as part of the Sherwood Survey, whose secondary plan the Town adopted in 2005. The survey’s land-use schedule from November 2005 shows the land between Main Street West, Derry Road, Tremaine Road and the CN rail line mostly as Residential Area, with a Neighbourhood Centre Area, a district park and a neighbourhood park on Main Street West at Tremaine Road. Between Main Street West and Steeles Avenue, the same schedule shows escarpment and greenlands designations rather than housing.

A May 2019 Town of Milton planning paper described the Sherwood Survey as largely built out and home to its planned population of about 40,000 people.

In TRREB’s report for April to June 2026, detached houses were the most-sold home type here: 13 of Scott’s 28 sales were detached houses, against 8 attached or row townhouses, 6 semis and 1 condo apartment. New listings leaned further toward detached homes: 37 of the quarter’s 72 were detached.

Across all 28 sales the median price was $945,000, while the 13 detached sales had a median of about $1,290K and the 8 townhouses about $873K. With that spread, compare a Scott home with others of the same type, not with the neighbourhood average.

School assignment goes by street address, and both boards have approved boundary changes in parts of Milton recently. Before you rely on any school below, check the exact address with the HDSB’s Find Local School tool and the HCDSB’s Find Your School tool.

Escarpment View Public School (351 Scott Blvd) opened in September 2010 and runs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. It is an English-language school that teaches Core French, with French as a separate subject; the HDSB’s optional French Immersion program starts in Grade 2, so ask the board which school offers it for your address. The school is named for its view of the Niagara Escarpment, and the HDSB lists it in the Milton District High School family of schools (Milton District High School is at 396 Williams Ave). Which secondary school a particular address feeds into is a question for the board’s own tool.

Queen of Heaven Catholic Elementary School is at 311 Savoline Blvd. The HCDSB’s 2026–27 boundary map for it covers the streets between Derry Road and Main Street West, with its eastern edge along the rail line, and runs north past Steeles Avenue West to Highway 401. It belongs to the St. Francis Xavier family of schools, and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School (1145 Bronte St S) has a 2026–27 boundary that takes in this area.

The Sherwood Community Centre (6355 Main St W) has a twin-pad arena, an aquatic centre with a 25 m pool and a leisure/therapeutic pool, an active living studio and multi-purpose space, and it sells Milton Transit tickets. Milton Public Library’s Sherwood branch, which opened in September 2019, is inside the same building.

Next door, Sherwood District Park (6125 Main St W) has a cricket pitch, baseball, basketball, pickleball, a playground, a shelter, washrooms and free parking, plus an outdoor disc golf course; disc golf equipment can be rented at the community centre.

Smaller parks: Scott Neighbourhood Park East (143 Scott Blvd) has a playground, basketball, soccer, a splash pad and bleachers. Scott Neighbourhood Park West, whose mini soccer fields the Town lists at 351 Savoline Blvd, has soccer, a playground, a shelter and washrooms. Holloway Park (53 Scott Blvd) and McCready Park (431 Scott Blvd) each have a playground and a shelter.

For errands, OpenStreetMap shows a Rexall pharmacy (6541 Derry Rd) and the Milton Trails Medical Clinic on the Scott side of Derry Road near Scott Boulevard, and a No Frills across the road at 6520 Derry Rd.

Milton Transit Route 6, named Scott, runs from Milton GO along Main Street and down Scott Boulevard to Derry Road, west along Derry to Savoline Boulevard, then up Savoline past the Sherwood Community Centre and back. Its timed stops here are Scott & Main, Scott & Derry, Savoline & Pringle and the Sherwood Community Centre. On weekdays, buses leave Milton GO between 5:22 a.m. and 10:50 p.m., no more than 45 minutes apart; on weekends, every 60 to 75 minutes from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Route 7 Harrison also has a timed stop at Derry and Scott.

Every Milton Transit route starts and ends at Milton GO Station (780 Main St E), the western end of GO’s Milton line, where customer parking is free. By car, Regional Road 25 meets Highway 401 at Exit 320.
